Easter egg cosy -free pattern for Felt Duck and Chick

Easy to make , suitable for beginners , hand stitching only !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


What you need for both designs:

Felt 1 mm thick ; in yellow , white ,moss green , orange
tiny bits of black felt and blue felt

Threads :machine threads in white , yellow , orange , green , black

HOW TO MAKE :

step 1 ; Using the templates cut out all shapes

step 2 ; Attach all elements on the body shapes , for the duck run a backstich for the sleepy eye and head line

step 3 ; Pin the body shapes together and overstich around using colour coordinated threads , leave the base unstithced

and your little eggcosies are ready

DIY Egg Hunt Baskets

Easter is coming with lots of spring flowers and warmer weather
Do you think about Egg hunt parties , Easter bunnies and Easter Baskets.

For a long time i wanted to create some Egg hunt baskets to enjoy making with the kids and friends , but i was straggling to create something simple and effective and then ,finally the inspiration came.


 I have made this sleepy dick first and developed the pattern,

and then the duck needed a little friend so the Chick basket was the perfect pall ..

they are very colorful and cheerful together perfect for E
aster EGG HUNT . They are small in size 15 cm x 18 cm but a lot of chocolate eggs can be collected in

It is very easy to make these two.
Perfect project for Easter holidays for crafty adults or supervised children 9+

For Mrs Hen i have selected Off white (Calico)Cotton and Scandinavian style checked cotton to create a Rustic / Nordic style

but any combination of 3 colours of your own choice would suits lovely to Mrs HEN so get creative make a Shabby chic style Hen with some faded flowery motifs or just use those lovely fabrics treasured for months, hidden somewhere in the craft drawers .

This is my White Hen but i would love to make it in more colourful version
