Pinocchio - puppet story bag

"Pinocchio" actualy "The Adventures of Pinocchio" is a popular story of old times by Carlo Collodi
I still remember my " Pinocchio " book with the most beautiful pictures, from my childhood.
I have been asked to create a Puppet set for a local school ,they requested as many characters from the story as posible but on a reasonable price
The teacher that made the order said :
"Pinocchio" is a complex story , especially for "Year 1" kids , we would love to introduced it with some puppets.

Design:It took me, a bit of a time to came up with the design as all those so popular and well-known characters ,actually proved to be difficult.
Materials :I have chosen Felt for all of the puppets and Calicco cotton for the bag
Colour scheme ; Pastel colour scheme to sugjest some vintage style and to take us to an old times

Pinochio is a hand puppet made entirely from felt and is 60 cm tall -this is my firs felt hand puppet I usualy make finger puppets only from felt

He is also available as an individual hand puppet

I love to make piglets so the 3 little pigs were easy job and i love them .


The 3 Pigs are finger puppets and the wolf is a hand puppet ,this combination makes the story bag great teaching resource

Well, the WOLF was a bit too hard,for me to make but once done the rest of the characters were very easy the combination of hand and finger puppets make the set very functional

Five Little monkeys teasing Mr Croc - my new sewing pattern

File little monkeys teasing Mr Crocodile is one of my very favorite songs.
Year ago a friend asked me to make a set using my existing Crocodile puppet and just to make some finger puppets Monkeys to fit in crocodile mouth.The set was for a gift posted to Australia .Since then a made more of these as it appear to be one of my bestsellers.

Felt Finger puppets -my new inspiration

FELT is my new inspiration but the 100 % wool one , never liked this material until I fall in love
3 days ago we went to the open day of Blooming felt with a friend and I came home very excited with pretty pink bag full of felt



so my first Idea was fairy Tale Finger Puppets in a bag and because the prettiest bag was Pink
then I chose more girly story Goldilocks and The 3 Bears
